Our Governing Boards

NatureLife Cambodia is a Cambodian biodiversity conservation NGO, directed by a governing board of four experienced and well-known conservationists in Cambodia:

Dr. Srey SunleangPresident of NatureLife Governing Board: Received his PhD from Japan; Dr. Sunleang currently working as Director of Freshwater Wetland Conservation Department, Ministry of Environment. With more than 10 years experiences working in environmental sector especially wetland conservation, Dr. Sunleang was voted into the role of chairman of Ramsar Regional Center East Asia, and Indo-Burma Ramsar Regional Initiative.

Mr. Tuy SereyvathanaVice President of NatureLife Governing Board: Received Master’s degree in wood technology; Mr. Sereyvathana is a former Country Director of Fauna & Flora International- Cambodia. With more than 15 years working experience in the conservation sector, in particular with the Asian Elephant conservation project, Mr. Sereyvathana was awarded the prestigious Goldman Environmental Prize in 2010.

Mr. Ung Sam OeunMember of NatureLife Governing Board: Received his Bachelor’s degree in agronomy, Mr. Sam Oeun currently working as Deputy Director of Biodiversity and International Convention Department, General Secretariat of National Council for Sustainable Development (GSSD). With more than 20 years experience working in protected area management and species conservation, he has played a leading role in developing the zoning plan for Lomphat Wildlife Sanctuary.

Mr. Bou VorsakCEO of NatureLife Cambodia: Received Master’s degree in general business management and Bachelor’s degrees in Geography, Psychology, Finance, and banking; Mr. Vorsak was Cambodia Programme Manager of BirdLife International and currently holds the position of CEO of NatureLife Cambodia. With more than 17 years’ experience working for conservation organizations, Mr. Vorsak has contributed to designating the list of protected areas and Ramsar sites in Cambodia (i.e. Anlung Pring Protected Landscape, Stung Sen Ramsar site…). He is a vice-chairman of Cambodia Sarus Crane Working and leading the NatureLife Cambodia team in developing and implementing the REDD+ project in Lomphat Wildlife Sanctuary in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and BirdLife International.
