We are Celebrating the International Day for Biodiversity 2026

On May 22nd, 2025, NatureLife Cambodia has joined with Kampot Provincial Department of Environment to celebrate the International Day for Biodiversity at Thmor Berk Primary and Secondary School in Kampong Trach District, Kampot Province. International Day of Biodiversity 22 May 2026 celebrated under the theme of “Action Locally for Global Impact”.

The celebration was help under the honorable of Mr. Eng Polo, Director of the Kampot Provincial Department of Environment, Kampong Trach District Governor, NGO partners, Teacher and students, and relevant stakeholders. In total, there are 300 people participated. As part of the celebration, a kid fashion show performance under the theme “Start with You to Protect Anlung Pring” highlighted the importance of the Anlung Pring wetland and Sustainable agriculture practice benefit to local livelihood and biodiversity especially the Vulnerable Sarus Crane .

The performance also reflected the harmful impacts of agricultural chemical pesticides and plastic waste on human health, wildlife, and the environment. At the end of the performance, key messages were shared to encourage communities and students to participate in environmental protection, practice wildlife friendly agriculture (Crane Rice), and conserve wetlands for local communities’ future generations and attract national and international tourists.
