Tonle Sap Conservation Community Enterprise Begins the Longterm Business Planning

On March 17–18, 2026, NatureLife Cambodia supported the Toul Neang Sav Plov Loung Community Protected Area to organize a consultation workshop on developing a business plan for the Tonle Sap Conservation Community Enterprise group.

The meeting was held at the Toul Neang Sav Plov Loung Community Protected Area office, located in Toul Neang Sav Village, Phat Sanday Commune, Kampong Svay District, Kampong Thom Province. A total of 12 participants attended, including 8 women.

The main objective of the meeting was to strengthen the capacity and enhance the understanding of community members in business planning development. Key topics discussed included identifying business ideas, defining vision and objectives, market analysis and marketing strategies, risk management, as well as human resources and financial management.

The consultation was facilitated and delivered by a project consultant using participatory group discussion methods, encouraging active engagement from community members. The business plan was developed based on the ideas and experiences of the members to ensure it is practical, effective, and implementable.

This business plan serves as an important tool to guide long-term business development, with a clear vision that contributes to the conservation of natural resources while also promoting the growth and sustainability of the Tonle Sap Conservation Community Enterprise.

Special thanks to UNDP-GEF Small Grants for providing financial support for this activity.
