35 Tonle Fish members trained on Tonle Fish Practices

On February 5th, 2026, NatureLife Cambodia, with financial support from UNDP GEF SGP, organized a training session on Tonle Fish principles and hygiene standards for 35 members (30 women) of Tonle Sap Conservation Community-based Enterprise at Toul Neang Sav Plov Loung Community Protected Area (CPA) in Phat Sanday Commune, Kampong Svay District, Kampong Thom Province.

The training focused on key points of the bylaw, internal regulations, hygiene standards, and the nine core principles of Tonle Fish. After the training, the post-test showed participants’ knowledge increased from 30% to 85%, highlighting strong learning progress.

Participants expressed appreciation, noting that the training strengthened their knowledge of hygienic fish processing, group regulations, and the benefits of enterprise membership. Members are committed to applying the nine principles and maintaining hygiene and conservation standards in their production. A follow-up session will be held later this year to reinforce learning.
Our thanks to UNDP GEF SGP for supporting this activity.
