REDD+ Project Helps Transform Lomphat Wildlife Sanctuary for the first time in history, a bridge has been constructed across Roveak Stream
By Vorn Kongkear

Located deep within the forest of Lomphat Wildlife Sanctuary, Mondulkiri Province, crossing Roveak Stream has long been a major challenge for rangers and local communities—especially during the rainy season when water levels rise and access becomes dangerous.
With support from the Lomphat REDD+ project, a 30-meter-long wooden bridge has now been successfully completed. This bridge will greatly improve access for patrol teams and local communities, enabling safer and easier movement throughout the year. It will also enhance the effectiveness of forest and wildlife protection while ensuring the safety of field teams during their operations.

At the same time, we strongly emphasize that this bridge is intended solely to support site management and conservation activities. We remain committed to ensuring that it will not be misused or facilitate illegal activities.
We sincerely thank all stakeholders and partners who contributed to the construction of this bridge in support of conserving our natural resources.
